Dr. John A. Miles, Professor

Dr. Miles has focused throughout his career on the design of hardware and systems to improve the ergonomics of work practices in agriculture and forestry. He has been the leading Co-Principle Investigator in recent agricultural ergonomics work based at UC Davis.

Dr. Meyers has focused on issues in technology development and transfer in agriculture. In addition to working in leadership roles in a number of related organizations, he established the statewide AgSafe Coalition. He has worked consistently on the prevention of injury in agricultural settings.
Dr. Julia Faucett

Occupational Health Nursing, UC San Francisco

Dr. Faucett has expertise in worksite assessment of acute and chronic pain disorders in working age adults from multiple cultural groups. Her research has focused on the contribution of ergonomic, organizational, and psychosocial factors to musculoskeletal pain and disability.

Mr. Janowitz has a background in industrial engineering, management, and physical therapy. He has special expertise in the prevention of back injuries and cumulative trauma disorders, and in the field uses of ergonomic job analysis techniques and instrumentation.

Dr. Fadi Fathallah, Assistant Professor

Dr.Fathallah just recently joined UCDavis as a faculty member and is currently establishing an occupational biomechanics laboratory to address musculoskeletal disorders of the lower back and upper extremities in agricultural and other occupational environments. Ms. Tejeda has a degree in Industrial Engineering with coursework in ergonomics, is bilingual, and coordinates major projects for the Center working directly with numerous industry cooperators.

Ms. Suriano assists with field data-gathering such as filming existing work practices and conducting pain and symptom surveys of workers their native language of Spanish.
